The Curatorial Network is an online portal and programme of activities dedicated to the development of curatorial practice through critical debate, collaborations and exchange. It facilitates the sharing of ideas and skills, provides professional development opportunities and offers ongoing peer support for curators across the visual and applied arts, museum and academic sectors. It aims to develop international networks and advance collaborative curatorial practice.

Plymouth Arts Centre and i-DAT present
Inter_connections seminar, the concluding event of a curatorial residency undertaken by Basak Senova. Senova is assistant professor at Kadir Has University, an independent curator and founding member of the Istanbul association
NOMAD. Senova was resident at i-DAT and Plymouth Arts Centre (UK) in January 2008 as part of the programme of International Curatorial Research Residencies initiated by the Curatorial Network.
Speakers are:
Basak Senova (Istanbul, Turkey),
Paul O'Neill (Bristol, UK) and
Ute Meta Bauer (MIT, US).

CALL FOR AAPLICATIONS: Curatorial Network Visit: Ars Electronica, DEADLINE 4 April 2008 (17.00)
The annual festival
Ars Electronica takes place in Linz, Austria each year - arguably the foremost media and electronic art festival attracting participants and visitors from across the world.
Curatorial Network is organising a visit for curators based in the South West of UK to attend the festival (4-9 September 2008) and is pleased to offer around eleven subsidised places. We are now inviting applications who would like to go on the visit.

International Visit Ars Electronica
Current Programme: Curatorial Residency by Basak Senova, January - February 2008
Basak Senova, international curator and founder of the online curatorial project
NOMAD TV, is undertaking research residency hosted by
Plymouth Arts Centre and
i-DAT (University of Plymouth, UK) as part of the Curatorial Network programme.
The residency explores the potential of online environment and social networking tools as mechanisms for generating cultural exchange. It unfolds through the CN discussion list [curatorial.net] and concludes with a seminar on the 25 April 2008.
