Zoë Shearman is curator of RELATIONAL, former Director of Visual Arts at Riverside Studios, London, and co-Director of SPACEX, Exeter. She has curated or co-curated over sixty projects, including solo exhibitions of Louise Bourgeois and Yoko Ono, participatory projects by Christine and Irene Hohenbucher, Sigalit Landau and Lois Weinberger, the international discussion series Legitimate Practices, major multi-site projects The Visible and the Invisible, for inIVA, Patterns, and Homeland, and exhibitions for Camden Arts Centre, The Wellcome Trust and The Freud Museum. She has edited eleven publications, including monographs on Louise Bourgeois, Yoko Ono and Jayne Parker, has undertaken consultancies in research and development for St Ives International and the Architectural Association, and is currently an advisor on Arts Council South West’s Creative Advisors scheme. As Curator of RELATIONAL, she is developing with SPACEX, and in association with i-DAT, and Dartington College of Arts, a programme of major international projects involving participatory artworks within everyday social contexts. RELATIONAL is hosted by SPACEX.
