in connection with WHW – Residency in Bristol & Cornwall, October 2008

ProjectBase & Situations are co-hosting a curatorial residency by What, How and for Whom in the South West in October 2008. The residency is supported by Curatorial Network (www.curatorial.net ) and Arts Council England South West.

We are offering financial support to up to 5 curators and artists living and working in Cornwall and the South-West who wish to attend the events in Bristol which form part of this residency programme. The financial support is intended to assist with costs for independent practitioners or small organisations and it is not anticipated that they will be awarded to revenue funded or larger organisations.

Criteria for applicants:
• Applicants must be based in Cornwall or the South-West of England (this means a residential address)
• The talk at Plan 9 is optional, but the financial support is allocated for attendance at the Seminar at Spike Island. Please note you will need to book your own tickets for the event
• Recipients of financial support must also attend the Lecture at University College Falmouth on 29 October
• The panel are seeking to support the opportunity for exchange between independent practitioners not those employed on a full-time basis by organisations or institutions
• Your reason for seeking support and why you wish to attend the seminar (max. 200 words)
• Your current CV

Curators and Artists wishing to attend the seminar and who would like help with travel and accommodation costs should send the application form by email to sara@projectbase.org.uk

Decisions will be made by a panel of ProjectBase (Sara Black), Situations (Paul O’Neill) and KURATOR (Joasia Krysa) on the basis of geographical spread/financial need.

The maximum financial award will be £100
