Two members of WHW, Ana Devic and Sabina Sabolovic will be visiting arts organisations, curatorial collectives and artist-led programmes in Bristol and Cornwall, investigating the question 'What is an Organisation?' over a ten-day period in October. What, How and for Whom (WHW) is a curatorial collective formed in 1999 and based in Zagreb, Croatia. Along with the other two members Ivet Curlin, and NataĊĦa Ilic, they are the curators of the 11th Istanbul Biennial in 2009 and have directed the program of Gallery Nova, a non-profit, city owned gallery in Zagreb since 2003. They write of their curatorial practice: "'What, how and for whom?' are the three basic questions of every economic organisation that also concern the planning, concept and realisation of exhibitions, as well as the production and distribution of artworks or the artists' position in the labour market." These questions, which were the title of WHW 's first project dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Communist Manifesto, in 2000 in Zagreb, became the motto of WHW 's work and the title of the collective. <hr> Autumn 2008 events are organised and hosted by [[http://www.projectbase.org.uk:ProjectBase]] and [[http://www.situations.org.uk:Situations]], UK For more information contact info@projectbase.org.uk
