We are looking for art students, very early career artists, and those who have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the arts sector.

Required Commitment: to be available for Training Day on Tues 27th June. 3 days commitment during the week beginning Monday 16th July. A full week commitment is required from Monday 23rd July to Saturday 28th July (day of event). 1- 2 days post event to be integral part of evaluation process.

The project assistant role will provide valuable experience in working alongside and liaising with professional artists. You will gain insight into (and practical experience in) communicating with arts practitioners, arts organisers and members of the public, while learning about best practices as arts professionals.

You will receive advice and support to help you with the next steps of pursuing careers in the creative industries. You will also develop skills in marketing, promotion and project evaluation and gain experience in working as part of a team.

These are voluntary (unpaid) positions as PL:ay is an artist-run pilot project and is unable to offer a salary for these posts. We will however strive to offer support, training and other non-monetary benefits.

PL:ay will rely on project assistants to help the smooth running of the festival; as such, it is essential that project assistants approach their responsibilities with commitment and professionalism.
