Artist Led Initiative Bursary
 
Aims
 
This Bursary is part of Plymouth Arts Centres and ArtsMatrix initiative to
assist the development of artist led studios and curatorial practice in the
area, which is an extension to the successful two-part seminar on artist led
studios. The seminar outlined a variety of propositions for developing
Artist Led Spaces from presentations of artists and organisations actively
developing artist led spaces in the region and across the UK. Including
speakers from NFASP (National Association for Studio Providers), ACME,
London, Station, Bristol, ALIAS South West (Artist Led Initiative Advisory
Service) and Euclid.

Out of this process a group of artists based in Plymouth are currently
working together to establish studio provision in the city. The group is
being supported by Plymouth Arts Centre and Arts Matrix to take this
forward. 
 
Plymouth Arts Centre and ArtsMatrix are now able to offer another small
bursary to an artist collective in Plymouth, to support visual arts
initiatives related to studio space and curatorial projects.
 
The value of this bursary is £2000.
 
Criteria

Applicants should consider the following criteria when applying to develop
an initiative:
 
1. Mentoring 
2. Best practice visits/exchanges
3. Project management
4. Curatorial initiative
