The new gallery, The Star and Dove contemporary artspace, is located in an
area of Bristol that is rapidly establishing itself as the city¹s
alternative cultural quarter, operating from within the recently refurbished
skittle alley in The Star and Dove bar and restaurant on St. Lukes Road.
Totterdown. The Star and Dove is owned by Jamie Oliver¹s ex head chef Eamon
Fullalove and the gallery is co-run by his wife Christiane Fullalove and
curator Lindsay Hughes.
 
The artistic programme will support and promote the work of emerging British
artists, alongside a selection of more established artists. The programme of
exhibitions, talks and screenings, will allow artists to develop their work
and take risks within an open and supportive environment.

2 May ­ 31 May 
Wed­Sun 12 ­ 6pm.
 
For the launch of the new artspace, we are pleased to present Starter for 6,
a group show, which gives an insight into the following 12 months programme
of solo exhibitions. Artists in the exhibition are: Chris Barr, Louisa
Fairclough, Mark Harris, Justin Mckeown, Anton Goldenstein and Gillian
Wylde.
