 International Summer Seminars for Art Curators
 Post Socialism and Media Transformations: Strategies of Representation
 July 21-August 1, 2008,  Yerevan, Armenia


 AICA-Armenia is calling for applications to participate in the 3rd
 International Summer Seminars'Program for Contemporary Art Curators,
 which will takeplace from July 21-August 2 in Yerevan, Armenia.
 Theproject is being realized in collaboration with SCCA-Ljubljana in
 Slovenia (www.scca-ljubljana.si ), SCCA-Alma-Aty in Kazakhstan
 (http://www.scca.kz) and BeralMadra Center for Contemporary Art in
 Istanbul(http://www.btmadra.com).

 The program is comprised of a series of lectures,presentations and
 workshops that focus on issuesrelated to the methodologies of
 curating, the role ofthe curator in the ever increasing globalization
 ofthe art market, strategies of representation andinstitutional
 structures in the contemporary art world.

 The deadline for applications is: April 15th, 2008.

 World of Art, School of Contemporary Art (www.worldofart.org) as an
 educational program wasintroduced in 1997 by SCCA, Center for
 ContemporaryArts - Ljubljana. It was developed out of a need for
 theoretical and practical education in the field ofcontemporary visual
 art in Slovenia. With its complexstructure the World of Art is nowdays
 a unique theoretical and practical educational school inSlovenia and
 in a broader Region (Central, Eastern andSouth Europe). It has
 established the mechanismsnecessary for reflective operation in the
 world ofart, and has been continuously developing and adaptingto the
 rapid changes emerging in the art world andsocial conditions. In its
 11th year the World of Art comprises: (1)annual educational program
 including Course forcurators/Laboratorium of Curatorial Practices with
 final exhibition, (2) Seminar for writing, (3) Seriesof public
 lectures, and (4) Anthology.
