Dear List,
After a long holiday period we are returning with a report on ISEA 2008 in
Neural magazine (including a short mention of the panel 'Curating in/as Open
System(s) organised by KURATOR):

Also, CONT3XT.NET guest edited the latest issue of the online journal Vague
Terrain dedicating it to the theme of 'curating and editing':

Soon we will be sending more information on the next Curatorial Network
residency by Zagreb-based curatorial collective 'What, How and for Whom/
WHW' and a seminar hosted in October by Situations in partnership with
ProjectBase (UK).
This is the fourth and the last residency/seminar in the current round of
the Curatorial Network programme. Curatorial Network was set up in the South
West of UK with an aim to 'develop international networks and advance
collaborative curatorial practice'. So far the two-year programme included
international curatorial residencies, seminars and visits; we started
building web resource and initiated this mail list.
We are looking to extend the programme beyond the current round and we would
like to hear from you with suggestions. Do networks such as the Curatorial
Network serve a meaningful purpose at this point in time? And if so, how
best they can be developed and function? What are other models of developing
regional/international partnerships and curatorial practice that are best
suited for the current cultural climate?
With best wishes
Joasia
